Sala Prabang Hotel,

of a noble family. This stone building, the home of His Excellency Khammao, the
first prime minister of Laos, has been superbly renovated.  New
architectural interior details and decor showcase the skills of Luang Prabang
craftspeople: exposed stone walls and wooden beams, refurbished  original
patterned ceramic floor tiles and fine fabrics, all offset by the subtle wall
colouring created by the original use of silk dyes. Flowering creepers create
a natural awning over the terrace seating overlooking the riverside thoroughfare.
The hotel provides efficient and personal service and a high quality setting in
